How to Commission your Portrait

It is very simple...

Choose the photo or photos that you would like Kay to work from.
The most important consideration when choosing the photos is to make sure they are in sharp focus so that details can be seen clearly. If you do not have photographs and live in Melbourne, contact Kay to arrange a free photo shoot for your portrait.

Email your photos to kay@kayblythe.com Along with your email address, phone number and the size of the painting you would like.

 If you would like to send photos via the post, or drop them off personally at Kay’s studio in Melbourne please email or call Kay on 0423 401 198

Generally it is the clients responsibility to collect their finished artwork, if this is not possible let Kay know when you contact her and she can arrange shipping and include this in your quote.  

When your photos are received, Kay will contact you with a quote and to discuss the details of your portrait. Paintings are usually completed within a month; you will be given an estimated completion date in your quote.
A 25% deposit will be requested before Kay begins the painting.

When the portrait is complete, you will be sent a digital image of the finished work via e-mail. At that time you will have the opportunity to review the portrait and request changes if needed.
If you are completely satisfied and pleased with your portrait you may complete your purchase. Your complete satisfaction is guaranteed.

This can be done by visiting Kay’s studio and collecting your portrait personally. If you require shipping you can finalize payment by bank transfer, money order, or cheque (cheques must clear before shipping or collection.) Your portrait will then be delivered along with any original photos sent.
